State flag carrier Garuda Indonesia announced Friday that the company still served its European route despite the extreme weather Europe had been experiencing recently.

“Our schedule to Europe is still normal,” Ikhsan Rosan, Garuda’s public relations officer, told The Jakarta Post on Friday.

He said no flights on the route had been canceled.

European countries have been experiencing extreme winter in recent weeks, with heavy snowfall and a drop in temperature. The condition has disrupted the transportation system, particularly air transportation.

Currently, flies the Garuda Jakarta-Amsterdam route. It plans to open four other routes to Europe, namely Italy, Britain, France and Germany in February, next year.
