The Jakarta Police will deploy an extra 3,000 officers to beef up security during the soccer match between Indonesia and the Philippines tonight following the confirmed schedule that President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will attend.

Personnel will be stationed in the vicinity of the Bung Karno Sports Complex as well as along the roads around it to help ease the expected heavy traffic gridlock.

Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Baharudin Djafar said police would team with the organizers to mount five giant screens to allow those without tickets to watch the match outside the stadium.
