Chelsea poor run continues with 3-3 draw vs. Villa

The Associated Press, Londong | Sun, 01/02/2011 10:59 PM | Sports

Chelsea's poor Premier League form continued Sunday when it conceded an injury-time equalizer to draw 3-3 with struggling Aston Villa.

The Blues had trailed 2-1 at Stamford Bridge until Didier Drogba and John Terry scored in the last six minutes of regular time to put the defending champions ahead.

Chelsea looked to have clinched only a second win in eight matches but Villa defender Ciaran Clark was left unmarked to head Marc Albrighton's cross past goalkeeper Petr Cech.

The point left Chelsea outside the top four, with Tottenham having moved into the final Champions League place with a 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.

Villa moved up to 15th place. It was the first time Villa had earned a point this season after conceding the first goal.
