Key witness to testify in Susno trial

The Jakarta Post, Jakarta | Thu, 01/06/2011 9:24 AM | National

A witness is scheduled to give a testimony in the trial of Susno Duadji at South Jakarta District Court today.

The key witness, Maman Abdurrahman Pasya, was the former head of finance at West Java Police, and was originally scheduled to provide his testimony on Tuesday, as reported by tribunnews.com.

Maman, who has repeatedly failed to fulfill previous summons, allegedly gave orders to cut part of the security budget earmarked for the 2008 West Java gubernatorial elections.

The trial was previously postponed because the graft suspect Comr. Gen. Susno Duaji, who is accused of graft involving these funds, was in poor health.
