A magician pulled a truck along some of Jakarta’s busiest thoroughfares on Friday morning, inadvertently snarling traffic as part of a stunt organized by a local television station.
The prestidigitator, Limbad, began his feat of strength at 6 a.m., dragging a truck tied to his neck from Senayan, South Jakarta, to the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle
Limbad then pulled the truck to the National Museum with his ears before using his hair to bring the truck to Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (RCTI) headquarters in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.
RCTI said that it had received permission from the Jakarta Police for the event.
“We sent a letter to the police asking for permission, which they granted,” RCTI spokesperson Vania Damayanti said.
The spectacle caused numerous traffic jams, drawing complaints from drivers.
Vania declined to comment on the traffic jam, but said the event followed necessary procedures.
“It's better to ask the producer. The producer is responsible for the show,” she said, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
