Police will reroute traffic after AFF final

The Jakarta Post, Jakarta | Tue, 12/28/2010 3:09 PM | Jakarta

The Jakarta Police plan to reroute traffic around Senayan immediately following the second leg of the AFF final on Wednesday night.

Rerouting traffic should assist the thousands of spectators to leave Bung Karno Stadium safely and help to reduce congestion.

“The traffic diversion will only apply after the match finishes,” said police commissioner Royke Lumowa on Tuesday, as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Due to the lack of available parking spaces, the Jakarta Police Traffic Directorate advises fans to use public transportation and avoid parking close to Bung Karno stadium if possible.
