Showers in Jakarta on Thursday: BKMG

Light- to medium-intensity showers have been forecast for Greater Jakarta on Thursday afternoon, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reports.

On Thursday evening light showers may continue around the capital, however East Jakarta and Bekasi should remain overcast.

Temperatures in the capital are expected to range between 24 and 33 degree Celsius.

Five rallies in Jakarta on Thursday

Five protests have been scheduled to take place in Jakarta on Thursday, the Jakarta Police Traffic Management Center (TMC) reports.

A four-hour demonstration has been scheduled to commence at 9 a.m. in front of Public Works Ministry office on Jl Pattimura in South Jakarta.

Later, at 10 a.m., two rallies are expected to start in front of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Jl. HR Rasuna Said in South Jakarta, and in front of the Manpower and Transmigration Ministry office on Jl. TMP Kalibata in South Jakarta.

Nearing the evening, a protest will take place in front of Presidential Palace on Jl. Medan Merdeka Utara, Central Jakarta, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Twelve rallies in Jakarta on Thursday

According to Jakarta Police Traffic Management Center (TMC), there will be 12 rallies in Jakarta today.

Four rallies were scheduled to commence at 9 a.m. in front of the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry on Jl. Gerbang Pemuda; in front of Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) office in the Gelora Bung Karno stadium complex; in front of the PT Telkomsel office on Jl. Gatot Subroto; and in front of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia also on Jl. Gatot Subroto.

Later, a protest was scheduled to be held in front of the Singaporean Embassy on Jl. HR Rasuna Said, from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

At noon, four rallies were to be held in front of State-Owned Enterprises Ministry on Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan; in front of the Presidential Palace on Jl. Merdeka Utara; in front of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) office on Jl. HR Rasuna Said; and in front of the Finance Ministry on Jl. Dr. Wahidin.

Two more protests were scheduled to be held from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. in front of the Home Ministry on Jl. Merdeka Utara; and in front of the Presidential Palace.

Later another rally has been scheduled in front of the palace from 4 to 5 p.m.
